Key Responsibilities - Data Mapping: Map data source attributes to target system attributes to ensure seamless integration and accuracy. - Report Building: Create insightful reports using SSRS, PowerBI, or other reporting technologies. - Data Requests: Research data requests to determine availability, sourcing, and fulfillment options. - SSIS Packages: Build and maintain SSIS packages for efficient data processing. - Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis on data quality issues and identify effective solutions. - Data Quality Monitoring: Monitor and enhance data quality within your scope of responsibility. - SQL Development: Write SQL statements, stored procedures, database functions, and other queries to support data analysis. - Job Scheduling: Schedule and manage nightly jobs using Control-M. - Independent Work: Work independently under the guidance of the Data Architect to achieve project goals. What We're Looking For - Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications/experience required. - Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SQL Server) is a plus. - Experience: Minimum of 2 years in IT analysis; experience with life insurance and annuity data is beneficial. - Project Experience: Familiarity with Waterfall or Agile methodology and experience working on a project team. - Data Modeling: Experience in relational and dimensional data modeling and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Analytical Skills: Ability to work independently, combine data from multiple sources, and document use cases, business purposes, and data quality. - Reporting: Knowledge of reporting technologies and methods for different types of data. - Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively share complex data and concepts with business analysts and team members.
