As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will leverage software engineering principles to address infrastructure and operational challenges, ensuring that our payment orchestration is robust, scalable, and efficient. Your role will include everything from software deployment and system reliability to optimizing overall performance and scalability. Key Responsibilities (Essential Skills) Infrastructure as Code (IaC): You will have extensive experience designing and managing advanced infrastructure using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Establishing best practices and ensuring optimal scalability and maintainability of the infrastructure will be part of your responsibilities. Software Deployment: You will lead the design and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines, possessing a deep understanding of the software deployment process to ensure efficiency and reliability. Mentoring junior team members will also be part of your role. Monitoring and Logging: Create a sophisticated monitoring and logging framework, selecting the most relevant metrics, and setting up advanced dashboards and alert systems to maintain system integrity. Incident Management: You will play a crucial role in diagnosing and resolving complex system issues, actively participating in post-mortem analyses, and driving future improvement processes. Optimization: With a comprehensive understanding of system performance, you will identify and carry out high-impact optimizations, including code refactoring, server configuration tuning, and database optimization. Security: Take full ownership of platform security, conducting regular audits and collaborating with cybersecurity experts to implement cutting-edge security measures. Effective Communication: You will be responsible for clearly conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders while providing strong guidance to team members. On-Standby Responsiveness: Be available to promptly respond to issues, calls, and system-related matters as they arise. Collaborate closely with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Desirable Skills: • Advanced scripting and programming experience for automation purposes. • Cloud platform experience (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). • Familiarity with configuration management tools. • Knowledge of database administration and optimization principles. • Experience with log management and analysis tools. • Understanding of best practices in application and system-level security.
