Position: Junior Security Engineer Location: Durham, NC Duration:6+ Months Job Type: Contract Work Type: Remote Job Description Summary: • We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Security Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have handson experience in cloud security, DevOps practices, and OSAP Open Software Assurance Program security. You will play a key role in supporting our security operations, enhancing our cloud and DevOps environments, and contributing to the overall security posture of our organization. Key Responsibilities • Support the design and implementation of security controls across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines. • Assist in managing cloud infrastructure security, including identity and access management and encryption. • Perform security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and support remediation efforts. • Contribute to secure code reviews and application security testing. • Monitor and respond to security alerts, incidents, and log data. • Work alongside senior security engineers to implement OSAP-aligned best practices. • Document security procedures and contribute to the development of policies and standards. • Document security procedures and contribute to policy and standards development.
