Our client, a global leader in information security solutions, is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Architect with a specialization in Cloud Security to join their elite team. This role is critical for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security architectures for cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud security principles, threat modeling, risk management, and a proven ability to architect secure and scalable solutions across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the US. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive security architectures for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Define and enforce security best practices, standards, and policies for cloud deployments and operations. Conduct thorough threat modeling and risk assessments of cloud infrastructure, applications, and data. Architect and implement security controls for identity and access management (IAM), data protection, network security, and vulnerability management in the cloud. Evaluate and select appropriate security technologies and tools for cloud environments. Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure secure development practices. Provide expert guidance on cloud security strategy, compliance, and incident response. Stay current with the latest cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging technologies. Develop and deliver security awareness training and guidance to technical teams. Lead security reviews of cloud architectures and provide recommendations for remediation. Serve as a subject matter expert for cloud security across the organization. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A Master's degree is highly preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 4 years focused specifically on cloud security architecture and design. Deep understanding of security principles for major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including their native security services. Proven experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, and cloud-specific compliance standards. Expertise in designing and implementing solutions for IAM, data encryption, network segmentation, and threat detection in cloud environments. Strong knowledge of container security, serverless security, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security. Experience with security monitoring, logging, and incident response for cloud-native applications. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer) are a significant plus.
