The Phoenix Group is seeking a Microsoft Developer to architect and deploy cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure. The role involves collaboration across teams to develop cloud-native applications and manage automated delivery pipelines.
Responsibilities: • Architect and deploy reliable, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions leveraging the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including but not limited to Azure Web Apps, Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, and SQL Database services. • Work cross-functionally with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to develop cloud-native applications and integration workflows. • Build and maintain automated delivery pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps tools for efficient deployment and code management. • Contribute to cloud-based development initiatives across their entire lifecycle—from planning and architecture to delivery—primarily centered on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms. • Support the delivery of modern, cloud-centric software solutions tailored to evolving business demands by participating in hands-on design and implementation. • Evaluate existing systems and applications, identify areas for optimization, and drive enhancements aligned with functional goals and priorities. • Manage simultaneous development efforts while ensuring deadlines are consistently met. Preferred Background & Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline—or comparable hands-on experience in the software development field. • Minimum of two years in a professional software development role. • Hands-on experience using modern development frameworks and toolsets such as Visual Studio, C#, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, Web APIs, Git repositories, unit testing methodologies, and Azure DevOps pipelines. • Solid understanding of designing and consuming RESTful APIs, working within distributed systems, and building microservices or event-driven/serverless architectures. • Familiar with Azure fundamentals, including identity and access configurations, secure networking practices, and resource security management. • Exposure to containerized workloads using tools like Docker and orchestration via Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or equivalent.
