Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst | Contractor | Advanced Power BI Location: Indianapolis | Hybrid Job Type: Contractor |$55-$65/hr Department: Finance / Business Intelligence Reports To: Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Job Summary: Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with advanced Power BI expertise to join our Finance team for an approximately 6 month contract engagement. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making through the creation and maintenance of interactive dashboards, reports, and data models that support financial planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize financial and operational data. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights. • Perform financial analysis including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling. • Integrate data from various sources (ERP, CRM, Excel, SQL databases) into Power BI for comprehensive reporting. • Automate and streamline reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. • Present complex data in a clear, concise manner to finance and non-finance stakeholders. • Provide actionable insights to support strategic planning, cost control, and revenue optimization. • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all reporting tools and platforms. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or related field. • 5+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role. • Proven advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, custom visuals). • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced formulas. • Solid understanding of financial statements, KPIs, and corporate finance principles. • Experience working with large data sets and multiple data sources. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
