Senior Cloud and Storage Solutions Engineer Employment Type: Full-Time, Experienced Department: Information Technology CGS is on the lookout for a talented Cloud and Storage Solutions Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing a comprehensive Storage Area Network (SAN) architecture for a large EMC-based SAN infrastructure to support a key federal agency. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement robust Storage Area Network (SAN) architecture for a large multi-enterprise, complex EMC SAN infrastructure. • Assess and plan for SAN performance, capacity, replication, disaster recovery, and backup solutions. • Define and strategize the development of the SAN and backup environments. • Convert customer storage needs into effective enterprise solutions that are configured and deployed seamlessly. • Monitor and report on overall storage and backup capacity planning and utilization. • Create standards and implementation processes for storage configuration, optimization, and disaster recovery. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAN infrastructure issues collaboratively. • Engage in routine maintenance and project planning for the storage infrastructure. • Generate technical documentation and storage-as-a-service roadmaps. • Manage and maintain SAN infrastructure to ensure 24/7 uptime as part of a dedicated team. • Architect and maintain private cloud environments with a focus on Gov Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) and hybrid architectures. • Conduct security tasks including vulnerability assessments, patch management, and auditing. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education. • A minimum of 8 years of related experience is required. • Hands-on experience with Dell EMC products such as Unity, Isilon, VNX, Data Domain, and RecoverPoint is essential.
