Azure API Developer (Remote) Primary Location: Remote V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an Azure API Developer (Remote) for our premier client. Education And Experience » • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • 3+ years of experience in API development and integration. • 2+ years of experience with Azure API Management. • Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs using C#, .NET Core, Node.js, or Python. • Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI. • Strong understanding of Azure services like Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault, Application Insights, and Event Grid. • Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman. • Solid understanding of security protocols and best practices (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JWT). • Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). Preferred • Azure Developer Associate or related Microsoft certification. • Familiarity with GraphQL, gRPC, or WebSockets. • Knowledge of B2B integration using Azure APIM (e.g., partner onboarding, API products/subscriptions). What You’ll Do Job Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Azure API Management and Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or other Azure services. • Design API schemas using OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications. • Configure and manage API gateways using Azure API Management to control access, enforce policies, and monitor usage. • Apply throttling, rate-limiting, and caching policies in Azure APIM. • Implement API security using OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, and subscription key validation. • Document APIs and provide clear onboarding instructions for internal/external consumers. • Monitor and troubleshoot API performance and availability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and APIM analytics. • Ensure APIs comply with industry standards and internal governance. Requirements
