Primary Objective The Systems Administrator II provides first level tech support as well as serves as an escalation point including, planning, deploying, troubleshooting and maintenance in all aspects of the infrastructure environment. The Systems Administrator II will be required to perform moderate level to complex technical and administrative tasks. This candidate will be performing duties within the scope of the policies and procedures defined by CEENTA. The Systems Administrator II plays a critical role to ensure that computer systems are ready and available to enable providers to efficiently care for patients. Education Associate Degree in Business or IT-related field or higher Experience • 2-4 years of experience or equivalent professional experience • Intermediate experience with Windows Server Operating Systems • Intermediate experience with Active Directory • Basic to moderate understanding of networking concepts and integration of systems and devices Certificates, Licenses, Registrations • Epic Systems Certification or Competency • IT Certifications related to essential job functions Training Period Employee is expected to have a certain level of aptitude and experience to perform the job duties as outlined in the Essential Job Functions section. The Information Technology field is constantly changing, and it is expected that the Systems Administrator II will use the resources available (both internal and external, free and paid) to obtain additional training necessary to keep up with current technology. It is expected that after one year in the position the employee will be proficient in the role of Systems Administrator II. Supervisory Responsibilities The Systems Administrator II reports to the Manager, Infrastructure / Interfaces, as well as the CIO, with oversight from CEENTA leadership as needed. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This position is full-time. The standard working hours are from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, however, the job of monitoring critical infrastructure systems is a job that will require availability for any emergent situations as determined by management, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Additionally, many of the job functions performed will require a system downtime which will require frequent availability outside of the standard working hours and on weekends. This position will require participation in a periodic on-call rotation that will require taking a lead role in coordinating response efforts for emergent situations. This position is eligible, under the manager’s discretion, for telecommuting after the successful completion of a • day probationary period of good standing and demonstrated competency in the Systems Administrator role. A Typical Day in the Position Typically, the time is spent with day-to-day operational tasks and some project-based initiatives. These tasks include: • Oversee and provision user account management • Oversee auditing processes of Active Directory and similar functions • Responsible for design, deployment and troubleshooting of monthly server patching • Design, plan, and implement fundamental group policies for an enterprise environment • Administer and support Office 365, Azure, Teams and Exchange policies and services • Perform and investigate compliance requests relating to litigation hold and eDiscovery • Responsible for configuration and maintenance of security and access control functions for the Epic application • Monitor and troubleshoot Epic related components and functions (servers, print queues, etc.) • Perform general load balancer administration tasks and troubleshooting • Assist in the management and installation of SSL certificates • Configure Single Sign On (SSO) integration within Azure & Enterprise Applications • Participate in assessments to identify risks and adherence to regulatory and security requirements • Monitor and address incoming tickets in the Ticketing system • Monitor and respond to alerts initiated by monitoring systems • Assist in daily escalations from Support Staff and Cross-Functional team members • Work with other senior staff members to resolve escalated, complex incidents • Support and maintain various aspects of the environment relating to telephony, networking, and security
