Job Summary: Dashing Diva is looking for a strong Senior DevOps & Data Engineer to lead the development, automation, and scaling of our cloud infrastructure and data platforms. This hybrid role combines the best of DevOps and Data Engineering to ensure reliable systems, efficient pipelines, and scalable architectures. You will work closely with data scientists, data analysts, system engineers, and various business stakeholders to build and maintain robust data ecosystems. Major Duties & Responsibilities: DevOps Engineering • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across environments. • Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) using infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). • Automate deployments, monitoring, and recovery procedures for critical systems. • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security through proactive observability and incident response strategies. • Implement and manage containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes Data Engineering • Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data. • Develop and maintain scalable data architectures for data analytics and AI/ML model developments and deployments. • Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to ensure clean, consistent, and timely data availability. • Manage and optimize data lake and data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). • Implement data quality checks, lineage tracking, and governance processes. Software Engineering • Write clean, testable, and efficient scripts and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, or Java). • Contribute to shared libraries, frameworks, and internal tooling to improve developer productivity. • Review code and infrastructure changes for performance, security, and maintainability. • Lead, mentor, coach junior developers through code reviews and pair programming. Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Data Engineering, or related roles. • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools. • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). • Expertise in scripting and programming (Python, Bash, etc.). • Experience with modern data tools (Dagster, Airflow, dbt, Spark, Databricks, etc.). • Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, BigQuery). • Deep understanding of data security, backup, and disaster recovery best practices. • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog). Preferred Qualifications: • Full Stack development experience. • Experience in MLOps and deploying ML models into production. • Background in software engineering or a related technical field. • Team leadership and management experience.
