SUMMARY We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to work with the Development team to automate process and monitor performance and up-time. This role works with a team implementing best practices and brings in new ideas as technology improvements are made. The position is responsible for creating and administering Kubernetes clusters and Linux services in a 24/7 Cloud environment. In partnership with Product Engineering teams, the DevOps Engineer position automates and supports continuous delivery of highly scalable services to Kubernetes and GCP Google Cloud Platform. This position defines key monitoring points and performances metrics along with managing alerts and responding to escalated issues. • ** BASE WORK LOCATION - Position is based at the Gulfstream Park (Hallandale Beach, FL) office location. (071224 & 101524) RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES • Brings ideas and implements solutions for improving infrastructure and software through automation, monitoring, performance tuning, health monitoring and tool creation. • Implements highly available, secure, scalable, self-healing CI (Continuous Integration) and productive systems. • Works closely with Product Engineering teams to provide fully automated delivery pipelines through development, test and production. • Documents standard processes for system deployment, maintenance and alert management. • Develops and maintains configuration management solutions. • Performs basic engineering, design, implementation and maintenance tasks. • Develops test automation frameworks in collaboration with other team members. • Understands and uses best practices for deployment processes and support. • Contributes directly to the planning and execution of the next iteration of core, customer-facing services. • Develops and supports innovative tooling to support internal and external stakeholders. • Participates in an active on-call rotation. • Shares best practices with the Engineering organization via ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions and other methods. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • 2+ years of experience as a Developer, Linux System Administrator, Windows System Administrator and/or Database Administrator • Experience in one or more of the following: Docker, Kubernetes, terraform, helm • Experience with CI/CD tools like CircleCI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc. • Ability to code in one or more of the following: sh/bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, C# • Demonstrates general cloud computing best practices, including networking and security • Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams of peers and departments within the company • Possesses a grasp of automation tools and experience working in a DevOps culture; sharing responsibilities with Developers • Deep knowledge of git • Comfortable driving infrastructure as code with a focus on maintainability • Experience implementing managed cloud services in new and existing stacks • Ability to build, monitor, and tune production servers and services • Excellent communication, and interaction skills; collaborating in a team environment Preferred Experience and/or Education: NA ADDITIONAL/OTHER INFORMATION Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a competitive base salary, bonus opportunity and benefits.
