Full job description As IT Systems Administrator for AJ Wells & Sons Limited, you will be working with our IT Team. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability of our IT infrastructure—maintaining equipment, managing networks and cyber security, and quickly resolving technical issues for our team. AJ Wells & Sons works within the Microsoft environment so knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365, Dynamics and Azure will be essential. In addition, there is a diverse range of systems and technology. This position reports to the IT Manager. Requirements: Key Duties as IT System Administrator: • Administering and supporting the office IT infrastructure, as well as internal services Jira, Microsoft Dynamics, ERP, Azure, VMware ESXi/vSphere and VEEAM Backup. • Configuring and monitoring networks (Wi-Fi, VPN, VLAN, IP addressing) • Maintaining office equipment (printers, projectors, Apple TV, conference rooms) • Supporting employees through the helpdesk as part of the team. Required Skills: • 3+ years of experience in a similar role or IT Support Specialist. • Strong understanding of networking (configuration, monitoring, VLANs, IP addressing, LAN, WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls). • Experience with server administration and cloud services. • Hands-on experience with Windows administration. • Understanding of office hardware setup (printers, projectors, Apple TV, conference rooms). • Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve IT issues. • Experience with ticket logging, remote management, and monitoring tools. • Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, RDS, and Entra ID. • Experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware ESXi. • Expertise in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365). • Ability to work independently on projects and proactively manage workloads.
