Datacenter Administrator | MSP | Contract-to-hire | Dallas, TX | $40-$50p/h • No C2C* As a Data Center Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our clients’ data center infrastructure — covering network devices, servers (physical and virtual), and storage systems. You will work with internal teams and client stakeholders to deliver high-performance, reliable solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot data center network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers) • Deploy and manage physical and virtual servers (VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux) • Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability • Implement best practices for data center operations, including patch management, backups, and security controls • Respond to and resolve escalated support tickets • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing • Maintain documentation of configurations and processes • Assist in project deployments and migrations for clients Skills & Experience: • 3+ years of experience in a data center or systems/network administration role (MSP experience highly preferred) • Solid knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking (VLANs, routing, VPNs, BGP/OSPF preferred) • Proficiency with enterprise server environments: • Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP) • Linux administration (preferred but not required) • Virtualization platforms: VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V • Familiarity with storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup technologies • Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar) • Strong documentation and communication skills • Ability to work on a rotating on-call schedule and occasional after-hours work for maintenance windows Certifications (a plus): • CompTIA Network+, Server+, or Security+ • Cisco CCNA or higher • VMware VCP • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Why Join Us? • Collaborative, fast-paced MSP environment with diverse clients • Opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies • Career growth in networking, cloud, and advanced infrastructure • Competitive salary and benefits package
