Location: WFH/ Remote (U.S.-based) (must reside in one of the following state - OR, AK, AZ, ID, FL, TX, WA) - Pacific hours Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire - W2/1099 (Cit, GC, Authorised to work in the U.S) About the Role: Staffing Technologies has partnered with a mission-driven healthcare organization to hire a Software Engineer focused on building and maintaining BI dashboards, reports, and backend systems. This role sits at the intersection of analytics and engineering—ideal for someone who enjoys transforming complex data into meaningful insights for business decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring deep Power BI experience, strong SQL and Azure fluency, and excellent communication skills. They’ll be responsible for new report development, modifying existing reports, and supporting government-mandated reporting and partner-specific deliverables. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field 10+ years of hands-on development experience Environment & Tools: • Power BI (Service + PBIRS) • Azure/ .NET / Visual Studio • SQL Server / SSIS, SAS • Paginated Reporting (Power BI Report Builder / SSRS) – Nice to Have • Cognizant/Trizetto Facets database – Nice to Have • Healthcare industry experience Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and data apps using Power BI (cloud and on-prem) • Develop stored procedures and optimize SQL queries • 5+ years of experience with Power BI (including PBIRS) - Power BI Report Server (PBIRS) • Strong experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and backend data structures • Ability to analyze data sources and implement performance-optimized reporting solutions • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and DevOps tools • Healthcare data experience (claims, eligibility, etc.) is a strong plus • Bonus: Exposure to Facets or Trizetto, or experience in a health insurance environment • Ingest and model data from diverse sources • Work closely with business analysts, PMs, and stakeholders to define reporting requirements • Maintain documentation and release notes for new features • Participate in an on-call rotation and support production systems as needed
