Role: Power BI - Level 5 Location: New York Job Description Location: Onsite Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and translating them into actionable insights. The candidate is responsible for design, development, and deploying interactive and visually compelling business intelligence reports and dashboards. Years of experience needed • 5+ years of experience Technical Skills: • Interact with business stakeholders to understand their data visualization and business intelligence needs. • Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and generate visually appealing and insightful reports. • Integrate Power BI reports into other applications to provide enhanced business capabilities. • Create custom visualizations and implement row-level security on data. • Build data models and develop dashboards using Power BI Desktop. • Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards. • Work with application developers to design and develop Power BI data visualizations. • Use advanced level calculations on the data set using DAX functions in Power BI. • Test formulas and visualizations to ensure their functionality. • Document the processes used and the methodologies implemented • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role. • Strong knowledge of Power BI, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX. • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • hands-on experience in MS Power BI development and hosting experience using MS Azure as a cloud platform. • Should have worked in Power BI that connects to various data sources available at On-premises data stores, cloud data stores and in hybrid data stores using multiple data connectors • Must of have MS Azure services experience on integrating Power BI reports/dashboards with MS Azure AD, MS Azure Power BI services, MS Azure logging & analytical services, MS Azure Data services and MS power BI associated MS Azure services • Must have strong analytical skills in data analysis, should have good collaboration skills to work with stakeholder to build Power BI reports and dashboards. • Understand business requirements and design & develop Poer BI reports and data visualizations. • Must have strong experience in data modelling using various data sources that includes Oracle, SQL server, MS Access, Excel and CSV files. • Must have strong experience in using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX). • Identified candidate may be required to analyse existing Power BI reports and optimize the performance of the reports by verifying data transformation logic and cleansing using Power Query, DAX and associated SQL queries, SQL SPs • Optimize reports/dashboards for performance, ensuring quick response times and efficient resource utilization. • Implement best practices for Power BI development and deployment. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing Power BI solutions Technology: • Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView). • Knowledge of SQL and database management. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS). • Education qualification: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent formal training or work experience. Certifications Needed: • Certificates in relevant fields are added advantage.
