Job Details Description BASIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Configure and maintain the LAN and wireless network to ensure reliable connectivity and data integrity via the use of Microsoft’s best practices. • Implement and support network components including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, backup systems, storage area networks, virtual servers, end user workstations, printers, peripheral devices, and other associated hardware and software. • Monitor and test network performance, and troubleshoot any performance issues. • Research and recommend changes to the system architecture to accommodate technology upgrades, improve performance, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. • Assess and define short-term and long-term network capacity needs. • Maintain, test and update the data backup systems, archiving and the disaster recovery plan. • Assist in the development and implementation of network administration policies and procedures. • Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory. • Monitor, test, and document network hardware configurations, security settings, processes, policy compliance, backup procedures, and other network administrative activities as required by Sarbanes-Oxley. • Interact and negotiate with vendors and contractors to procure network products and services. • Provide support for land line phones, cell phones, and smartphones. • Provide end user support as part of a 24x7 help desk, including training and assisting staff in using hardware and software more efficiently. • Install security updates on all servers • Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager and/or Senior Director of Technology and Continuous Improvement. Rc14001® & Quality Management System Responsibilities • Intervene and take appropriate actions on any non-conformance, possible non-conformance, or concerns affecting 1) compliance with any known legal, regulatory or company requirement, 2) Safety Health Environment & Security (SHE&S) and Quality policies, procedures, or other management system requirements, and/or 3) expectations or needs of other interested parties and communicate it using the appropriate company process. • Fully comply with all SHE&S and Quality policies and procedures, as well as Standard Operating Procedures. • Communicate any SHE&S and Quality / customer service concerns, near misses, incidents or opportunities for improvement using the appropriate company process. • Whenever requested participate in the development, communication and implementation of SHES, Responsible Care and Quality programs, processes, and procedures. • When requested, participate in Associate Safety Committee (ASC), Safety Meetings, Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Startup Review (PSSR), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and other related SHE&S, process safety, and customer service activities. Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or other technical field or at least 5 years experience as a Network Administrator or related role in the design, implementation, support, and management of complex LAN solutions. • Strong communication and documentation skills. • Ability to work with all levels of staff to define business and technical requirements as well as to perform system support. • Working knowledge of software patch management and update processes. • The following skills are not necessary but are a plus: • Certifications: , CCNA, Network+, , Security +, etc. • Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
