Cloud devops engineer job at PSRTEK. Plano, TX. Role: Cloud Azure DevOps Engineer Location: Plano, TX (Onsite) Duration: 12 Months+ Required Skills We need someone Development with involved in building CI/CD Pipelines from scratch and docker Azure DevOps - Expert Power Shell Expert Groovy Expert Python - Professional 10+ years of experience required. 4+ years of experience with other Azure DevOps tools, such as GitHub , Jenkins / GitHub Actions , Artifactory , Ansible / Octopus Deploy , AppDynamics , Splunk or equivalent. 4+ years of experience with docker file and image creation, running containers on Kubernetes or using Docker run time environment. 4+ years of experience in any of the scripting languages like Shell Scripting , Groovy , Python , Perl or PowerShell or equivalent 2+ years of experience with relational database management skills like MSSQL , MySQL , SQL , Postgres or MongoDB preferred or equivalent 2+ years of experience utilizing DevOps within private cloud and public cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure , Google or Amazon AWS cloud services or equivalent Ability to perform as a team member. Guidelines that could help you identify a strong DevOps engineer with strong development and integration experience: • Strong communication skills are a must-have. Candidates should be able to clearly articulate their experience and make a good impression. • Look for candidates who have been in the US for at least 4-5 years. • Candidates who understand the difference between support and engineering roles. Look for candidates with strong development experience and if they have Ops experience that is great. But focus on the Dev or DevOps. • Look for candidates who can develop and build CICD pipeline, rather than use existing pipeline like Azure DevOps Pipelines (Buying a car vs. Building a car) • Candidates should have an engineering background and be capable of creating and building things from scratch. • The job requires building a CI/CD framework and creating pipelines from scratch. • Search for candidates who possess a deep understanding of the components involved in the CICD pipeline and can explain them clearly. Have they built pipelines before? Have they integrated the different components? Knowing Terraform alone is not enough. • Experience with Git integration is preferred. • Look for candidates who have experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Bash. • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. • Candidates who have experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack are ideal. • The candidate should have knowledge of best practices for software development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. • Candidates who have experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA are preferred. • Look for candidates who have worked with source control tools such as Git and have experience with branching and merging strategies. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are a must-have for a DevOps engineer. • Look for candidates who have experience with testing and automation frameworks.
