We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in cloud platforms—particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)—who can design, implement, and automate advanced data protection strategies. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating both technical and strategic domains, contributing to the security posture of enterprise-scale environments. Key Technical Competencies Cloud Platforms & Security Tools We’re looking for hands-on experience in public cloud environments, with a focus on Google Cloud’s native security offerings. Familiarity with major services such as IAM, VPC Service Controls, Cloud KMS, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Secret Manager is highly valued. Programming for Security The role demands proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python, to develop automation scripts, integrate tools, and streamline security workflows. Multi-Cloud Awareness An understanding of different cloud ecosystems (e.g., AWS, Azure) is beneficial for evaluating cross-platform risks and applying security best practices in varied environments. Security Automation & Operational Excellence Enhanced Threat Detection Applicants should be experienced in maturing security monitoring functions beyond standard configurations—leveraging GCP tools like Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and Security Command Center to detect and respond to complex threats. Process Optimization & Documentation Candidates must be capable of developing clear and effective SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to support repeatable, scalable responses and compliance efforts. Automation-Focused Mindset A strong inclination toward automating repetitive security tasks and tracking results through metrics is essential. Candidates with experience showing measurable improvements through automation will stand out. Strategic Insight & Compliance Acumen Designing Enterprise-Grade Solutions The ideal candidate has experience building scalable, secure systems in large organizational environments—balancing technical effectiveness with practical deployment. Regulatory Familiarity Understanding global compliance frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001, and NIST standards is a must. Experience applying these in real-world environments is a key asset.
