Darigold is seeking a motivated Junior Systems Administrator to join our team. The Junior Systems Administrator provides internal support for company computer systems, security and software systems. This role supports the IT organization; monitoring systems, scheduled events and automated error reports, so that issues are captured and resolved with minimal consequences and downtime for users. The IT Service Desk is the central communication hub for capturing companywide incidents and requests to the IT organization. This position consists of providing phone support, working on incidents and requests, troubleshooting, project work and occasional travel to remote sites. The ideal candidate must be able to operate under minimal supervision. What You Will Do: • Serve as a point of escalation for IT incidents and IT requests as part of a team • Adhere to and support the IT SLAs and processes • Create and update documentation as needed • Occasional travel to facilities may be necessary • Monitor servers, systems and scheduled events to capture when errors and issues occur • Research questions using available information resources • Follow standard IT Security and apps procedures; log all interactions; redirect or escalate problems to appropriate resources as needed; identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention • Assist the IT Department when major disasters or major infrastructure changes occur, often by functioning as a Communication Command Center • Regularly update and patch systems to prevent vulnerabilities • Conduct periodic security audits and risk assessments • Train employees in cybersecurity awareness and best practices • Support other projects, as assigned by IT Management • Provide 7 X 24 On-Call support for a 1-week period as part of a rotation What You Bring: • Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree required • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ITIL, Azure Data bricks, Service Desk Plus, Oracle and Power Apps is preferred • Valid Driver’s License is required • Must be able to follow documented instructions and escalations • Must possess a commitment to always providing the highest level of customer service along with a desire to take ownership of incidents and requests • Curiosity with a focus and priority on continuous learning • Must possess an appreciation for strong documentation and a willingness to contribute to Darigold’s knowledge base • Familiarity with Oracle applications, Microsoft applications, Power Apps, Azure Data Bricks, Cyber Security is a plus • Current knowledge of information technologies • Strong organizational and time management skills • Active Directory knowledge • Familiarity with Oracle and accessing SQL databases is a plus • Ability to work within a team and individually as required • A strong desire to follow policies and to monitor security • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Knowledge of fundamental cybersecurity concepts and practices • Understanding of network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems and anti-virus software • Familiarity with data encryption methods and secure data transmission Benefits of Working at Darigold: We understand that as an employee, benefits that support you and your family in and out of work are important.
