Please find details for this position below: Client: Banking/Financial Industry Title: VMWare Infrastructure Engineer / Senior Infrastructure Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC – Hybrid Roles - 3 Days Hybrid role Duration: 12+ Month (s) Contract, possibility to extend is not currently certain Job Details: Call Notes: • Virtualization, Networking, Storage & Computing Stack • They have an Innovations Lab for enterprise environment to run above entire stack. • They manage everything from Physical Rack & stack, hardware to automating • Any line of business wanting to work on any approval technologies – they go thru his team. • Work on all the OS, run the platform on hardware and automating the process they provide • Allow LOB, R&D effort - able to bring the work which can be evaluate - bring to the lab. • Provide them a virtual environment - any given technologies - whether they can meet their use cases. • They work in an isolated environment – they have set up a time box of 90 days to meet the deadlines. • They also work in Safe environment and identify whether the technology works before it goes to production tem. What manager is looking for: • Manager is looking for someone who will or who has worked in a cross functional environment. • Someone who has worked previously in a Lab environment would be huge plus. A track record engineering and operationalizing cross-platform operating systems and platforms, including customizing/packaging, deploying, supporting, patching and maintaining: • Microsoft Windows Server 2019, 2022 • Microsoft Windows 10/11 • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, 9 TOP Technologies candidate should possess: • Extensive experience with Windows Server - Domain services expertise. • Good Understanding of storage, infrastructure and automate the Infra & virtualizations • Someone who has customized OS and has done Imaging AND OR Virtualization within VMWare clusters. • Someone who has Built & deployed VMWare from ground level – NSX (formerly NSX-T/Intersect Data Center) – The entire VMWare Suite. • Automations platforms - Terraform, PowerShell (Windows), BASH (Linux) – All 3 experience will make the candidate’s profile stronger. Terraform & PowerShell experience will give an edge to the candidate. • Manager needs someone who has All Operational experience - not just using or consuming experience. • Azure & GCP - Split wise Azure would be more than GCP.
