Job Summary This is a developer role which requires coding, maintaining, updating and supporting our API Platform, Services, Tools and Application Management Gateway (APIM) on Azure Stack. Focusing on Microsoft Azure, API development using .NET C#, JavaScript and Python Programing Stack to create integration artifacts (Logic App / Function app) to hosed on the APIM layer. The developer should be comfortable with GitHub best practices and secured coding practices. They should be comfortable working within Agile Teams in a fast-paced project. The individual needs to produce and maintain System Requirements and Specifications documents based on business requirements. They will work closely with the product owner and scrum master to execute the development tasks assigned. Being Agile aware, they need to make sure that proper backlog user stories are created, and work is distributed with proper milestones and deadlines. Job Responsibilities • Build Enterprise grade reusable services connecting Ascot’s internal systems to outside 3 rd party data providers using programming languages / scripts like C#.net and Python • Ability to interpret the business needs into system specification within the architectural constructs of in Enterprise Integration Layer (Detailed Design Documentation) • Use Azure PAAS resources to build artifacts which can be used to implement integration patterns needed to solve the integration needs between various systems • Well versed with GitHub as a source code management system and be able to follow the release and merge best practices • Ability to write unit tests for the artifacts developed. • Ability to work with offshore development staff and carry out coordination activities as needed. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science. • Any certification on Azure Cloud offering and programming languages is highly desirable • Superior problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking abilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Any work experience with the Insurance Industry is preferred but not required. • Minimum 7 years of experience Compensation Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual cash bonus, long-term incentives, and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $150,000 - $170,000 for New York Metro Area.
