Role: Lead Software QA Tester- Job 4538 Location: Onsite- Glenn Allen, VA Terms: Contract – long term Wage: $60-70 an hour- based on experience Capstone IT is helping our client to find a Lead Software Quality Tester. This is an incredible opportunity with a leading energy company. The selected candidate will be performing 100% QA duties, focusing on both manual and automated testing of web and client applications, backend API automation (using Java for automation, not for development), and database validation. Top 6 Skills • Expertise in manual and automated testing (Client Server and Web Applications) • Proficiency in Azure DevOps (especially Test Plans) • Strong experience with backend API automation using Java (for test automation purposes, not application development) • Proficiency in UiPath platform (RPA) (Studio, Orchestrator, Robots) • Strong skills in Oracle SQL and MongoDB • Proficiency with Linux (navigation/log retrieval) and familiarity with WebLogic Responsibilities • Develop, set up, and execute manual and automated test scripts • Perform end-to-end traceability from requirements through testing • Manage defects and report on testing progress • Analyze test results, log issues, and retest corrections • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers • Assist UAT Leads with test strategies and tools • Support upcoming mobile application testing initiatives Qualifications • 8+ years of experience in Testing/QA • 5+ years leading testing of large-scale n-tier systems • Strong knowledge of: • UiPath • Oracle SQL • MongoDB • Java Spring (architecture understanding, non-developer) • Linux and WebLogic • Azure DevOps services, especially Test Plans • Excellent communication and flexibility in dynamic environments Nice to have: Test driven development (TDD) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) CI/CD, mobile testing, energy sector experience, Confluent Cloud, Kafka, Cloud computing Please send your resume and salary requirements for immediate consideration!
