Senior .NET Fullstack Software Engineer Location Richmond, VA : Role/Title: Senior .NET FullstackSoftware Engineer Hybrid, Richmond, Virginia Agency Interview Type: Both Web Cam and In Person Interview **local Richmond, VA candidates required due to onsite requirement General Description The Virginia Office of Data Governance and Analytics is an exciting new agency under the Secretary of Administration. The agencys primary focus is Data Sharing and Data Governance. The agency manages the Commonwealth Data Trust to facilitate data sharing across the Commonwealth and its partners; and provides administrative support to the Commonwealth Data Commission, Executive Data Board, Data Governance Council, and Data Stewards Group. In addition, the Office of Data Governance and Analytics (ODGA) will provide guidance, support, oversight, and technical assistance to data trust member agencies and Commonwealth organizations in the implementation of data governance, sharing, security, and analytics projects. Responsibilities: Understand and translate business needs into software solutions that support long-term ODGA projects and goals. Demonstrate technical solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. Design, develop, modify, and support software components from all areas of the ODGAs technical stack. Work with Clients or internal ODGA management to develop the overall look and design of web applications. Determine root cause for complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions. Serve as a technical lead contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external team members. Assist in planning, estimating, and scheduling of tasks and upcoming projects. Participate in, contribute to and continuously improve the ODGAs agile software development processes. Implement CI/CD pipelines for automating code integration and deployments of software applications. Remain current on new technologies and available vendor packages; evaluate and make recommendations as necessary. Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)plus 7+ years of Software Engineering experience. At least 7 years of experience with one or more .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3. Proficient in modern Front-End Web Application Development - including Angular, React, Vue, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, etc. Experience in developing ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core MVC applications. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling. Familiarity with Kendo UI is a plus. Familiarity with Azure Web Apps. At least 3 years of experience in querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms (SQL) to investigate large and diverse data sets. Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work cross teams and collaborate with others Solid debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills Skills Matrix: At least 7 years of experience with one or more .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3.
