By acting as the technologypartner and business enabler, the department provides state-of-artIT solutions to support IFC's operations. CIT is seeking an experienced IT professional to augment theApplication Solution Architecture function within the IFC'sArchitecture and Technology unit (CITAT). Requirements Build a strong solution architecture practice, aligned with the WBGenterprise architecture strategies, principles and to guide theimplementation of all IFC's systems. Ensure sound architectural practices are adopted and appliedwithin the IFC IT program that would lead to optimization of the IFCIT landscape, applying such approaches as re-use, knowledgesharing, outsourcing and standardization. Establish and maintain robust coordination with multiple teamsacross CIT delivery portfolios, infrastructure, Office of InformationSecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Database administrators, projectmanagers, portfolio PMOs, innovation initiatives, subject-matterexperts, and various business stakeholders. Develop and maintain architecture and design blueprints forstrategic/transformation programs and products in alignment withorganizations IT Strategy, WBG approved technology stack andimplemented based on industry best practices, guidelines, andstandards. Architect, design highly scalable, available, and fault tolerantsystems in the Cloud (AWS and Azure) and on-premises. Lead the technical engagement for defining and documentingapplication architectures aligned with enterprise standards,guidelines, and best practices. Ensure solution architectures for enterprise solutions driveefficiencies, improve performance and reliability, increaseinnovation, and reduce costs. These solution architectures could becloud-native, on-premises or leverage a hybrid cloud model. Ensure solutions leverage industry standard enterprise integrationtechnologies to integrate disparate systems on-premises, in thecloud and across cloud providers. Build, maintain key architectural artifacts and ensure alignmentwith architectural guidelines, best practices, and blueprints. Lead and/or take part in deep-dive session and design exerciseswith various stakeholders across CIT and ITS to envision andblueprint enterprise grade solutions for IFC. Define transition approaches and roadmaps for migrating legacy systems. Lead the definition and elaboration of technical strategies andpatterns. Develop and deliver compelling presentations and demos toachieve buy-in from relevant stakeholders and to communicate thesame to implementation teams. Conduct technical reviews and impact assessments on solutiondesigns submitted by implementation teams. Translate business requirements into technology requirements forinclusion in contracts and/or statements of work (SOW). Lead engagements to provide technical quality oversight atvarious points throughout a project lifecycle. Identify opportunities for innovation. Selection Criteria Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience inComputer Engineering or relevant area or Master's degree with a minimumof 8 years relevant experience. Cloud certification offered by AWS/Azure is required. Ability to grasp high level concepts to create technical solutions to meetbusiness needs. Self-starter with a track record in learning and applying technologies. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability toanalyze problems and identify the root cause. Extensive experience and very detailed knowledge of Cloud Computing;infrastructure, services, products, best practices, and standards; as theserelate to virtual machines, databases, integration, CDN, performance andmonitoring, security, auto-scaling, scalability, elasticity. Experience and knowledge with modern authentication, authorizationframeworks and technologies. Experience and knowledge of DevSecOps (Azure DevOps) principles,practices, and tools. Development experience in .Net Core and modern UI frameworks such asReact is preferred. Experience and knowledge in implementing containerized applications ineither AWS or Azure cloud environments. Experience and knowledge in implementing solutions that leveragebusiness process, workflow management and document managementcapabilities. Experience in implementing enterprise grade solutions leveraginglanguages such as .Net and Java. Experience and knowledge in SQL and non-SQL databases; Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as theability to work effectively across internal and external teams and virtualteams. Excellent oral and presentation skills - Formal presentations, whiteboarding, large and small group presentations is highly desired.
