Title: Systems Engineer – Managed Service Provider Location: Southeastern Region Description: Join a dynamic Managed Service Provider (MSP) team as a Systems Engineer, where you will design, deploy, and maintain IT systems for a diverse client base. This role requires technical expertise to integrate, manage, and optimize IT infrastructure, delivering high-quality solutions tailored to client needs. Responsibilities: Design and implement on-premises and cloud-based IT systems, including servers, networking, storage, and virtualization platforms. Collaborate with clients to translate business requirements into secure and scalable IT solutions. Plan and execute system migrations, upgrades, and integrations with minimal disruption to operations. Configure and manage storage solutions (SAN, NAS, cloud-based) to ensure data performance and security. Implement and configure Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity and access management. Deploy and manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device and application management. Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles for internal and client use. Provide technical support and troubleshooting to maintain high system availability. Stay current with technology trends and best practices related to IT infrastructure and cloud computing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless client projects and initiatives. Required Skills: Experience in an MSP environment supporting diverse client IT systems. Hands-on expertise with server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), virtualization (Hyper-V, KVM), and cloud platforms (Azure). Strong understanding of networking protocols and security principles. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell. Familiarity with storage technologies (SAN, NAS, cloud-based storage). Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Intune. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and documentation skills. Desired Skills: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
