The Junior BI Developer is a key member of the Business Intelligence team whose primary mission is to partner with key business and IT leaders to perform data related tasks. Proficiency in T-SQL is essential for success in this role. This position requires willingness to learn business operations, business processes, business intelligence technologies, critical business data, and key operational reporting and analytics across key business functions. The candidate must be highly flexible, result-oriented with the ability to provide insight and support on complex business and technical issues. Provide a high-level of customer service throughout the organization with a primary focus on data availability, responsiveness, connectivity, security, and established service level metrics. Partners with multiple Brands and departments ensure critical data is maintained while helping to reduce downtime, increasing productivity, and providing continuous improvement. The BI Developer reports to the BI Data Architect. Must be willing to go onsite Monday-Thursday in Irving, TX. This role does not sponsor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities Develop integrated analytics solutions. Develop and optimize data and datasets using Power BI and SSMS. Develop, and maintain interactive and insightful Power BI reports and dashboards. Maintain and troubleshoot data pipelines. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver appropriate data-driven solutions. Maintain documentation and ensure the best practices for data governance and security. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc. Willingness to improve and learn advanced data skills. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. Experiences: 1+ years of experience with TSQL. 1+ years of experience in Power BI and data analysis. Skills: Proficiency in TSQL with more complex queries, including SUBQUERIES, CTEs. Understanding of SQL features, such as STORED PROCEDURES, FUNCTIONS, VIEWS, and TRIGGERS. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Great communication and problem-solving skills Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Some experience using data tools such as Microsoft SSIS, SSAS, and DevOps is a plus. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Able to manage stress under pressure. Able to prioritize projects/tasks, deliver quality results on time.
