Job description FedTec is seeking SharePoint Migration Implementation Lead to manage the collaboration between Business, Technical, and System stakeholders. You will have experience in SharePoint, leading elaboration sessions, and provide expert advice not only on the business requirements but also how to best express requirements and design based on SharePoint capabilities. Location: West Sacramento, CA (Hybrid) Responsibilities: The Contractor will perform a set of activities which include, but are not limited to: • Understand the current business processes and document the business requirements. • Analyze the requirements and review with the business stakeholders to gain approval. • Perform a requirements analysis and develop a technical design document of the SharePoint Online solution that will meet the business needs. • Create the SharePoint Online sites with folder structures and security controls per the technical design. • Develop a migration plan that outlines the steps involved in the migration including communication and training. • Perform migration of the business files from network file shares onto the new SharePoint Online sites. • Update hyperlinks in the migrated files to ensure they work properly. • Develop programming scripts to automate the migration process and to update the hyperlinks as much as possible. • Support business users in the validation of the migrated files and permission of the new locations. • Provide support and maintenance of the new SharePoint Online solution by resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests timely. • Create training materials and conduct training to business and IT staff. • Provide cost-benefit analysis and recommendation based on industry best practices and standards. Minimum Technical Qualifications: • At least five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years leading a migration project from Windows file shares onto Microsoft SharePoint and/or SharePoint Online, Teams or OneDrive. • At least five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years designing a Microsoft SharePoint and/or SharePoint Online site with features and elements that support the business operations involving files and folders. • At least five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years configuring Microsoft SharePoint and/or SharePoint Online with security controls to enforce the least privilege access principles. • At least five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years developing programming scripts to automate the migration process and to update the hyperlinks in the files after migration. • At least five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years creating training materials and providing training to business users, and knowledge transfer to IT staff. Desirable Technical Qualifications: • Experience providing consulting services to State and/or Federal agencies in the USA. • Experience working as an implementation lead in a network file share migration project. • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows file shares best practices and standards. • Ability to collaboratively interact with business users, vendors and other contractors to understand business processes and solicit business requirements. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • The proposed project person will be able to adhere to the hybrid working model by working on-site 2-3 days per week at West Sacramento, CA.
