Direct Hire role with our client located in Pittsburgh, PA. Work Environment: Onsite JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Guide the development and execution of enterprise network strategies that enhance security, efficiency, and scalability. Architect end-to-end solutions that support hybrid environments, ensuring secure integration between on-prem systems and cloud services. Collaborate cross-functionally to align infrastructure capabilities with organizational goals and evolving technology demands. Champion the adoption of automation and orchestration tools to streamline network operations and reduce manual effort. Serve as a senior voice in architectural governance, helping to define and uphold technical standards across the organization. Lead the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects in agile, fast-paced environments. Evaluate and improve current infrastructure designs to reduce risk, enhance performance, and increase business continuity readiness. Act as a trusted advisor for cybersecurity and compliance best practices related to network and cloud platforms. Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to optimize existing technologies and integrate new solutions where beneficial. Stay informed of industry trends, emerging tools, and evolving practices in cloud networking, infrastructure as code, and network security. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 10+ years of experience in enterprise network architecture, systems design, or related fields, with demonstrated leadership in both strategic planning and hands-on implementation. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, AWS, Azure) are highly valued. Proven track record building and securing networks in hybrid (cloud/on-prem) environments. Deep understanding of networking protocols, encryption methods, firewall technologies, and identity-aware networking. Strong grasp of cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their native networking services. Experience implementing infrastructure automation and configuration management tools. Skilled at simplifying complex architectures for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Solid knowledge of risk management, change control processes, and regulatory compliance as it relates to IT infrastructure. Excellent analytical, communication, and project leadership skills. Self-starter with the ability to juggle competing priorities and drive initiatives through to completion.
