About the Role We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help drive automation, scalability, and reliability in a cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience working in secure environments, a strong background in DevOps practices, and expertise in Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud services. This is a fully remote position, but candidates must be based in the U.S. and meet clearance requirements. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure DevOps pipelines and cloud infrastructure. • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and performance. • Automate deployment, monitoring, and system maintenance using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. • Collaborate with development and security teams to integrate best DevSecOps practices. • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues proactively. • Maintain compliance with security and government regulations related to classified systems. Required Qualifications • U.S. Citizenship required due to security clearance requirements. • Active Secret clearance or held one within the last 24 months (eligible for reinstatement). • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles. • Strong experience with Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and tooling. • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.). • Understanding of networking, security best practices, and compliance frameworks. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in classified environments or government contracts. • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and DevSecOps best practices. • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. • Experience with database management and optimization in cloud environments.
