Reporting directly to the Director Web Applications Development within the IT department, the Full Stack Developer II will use Microsoft .NET technologies to build the front and back end of web applications. This role will be an active code contributor as well as guiding both internal and external development resources for code contributions. The Full Stack Developer will be involved in coding, sprint planning, daily scrums, and communicating with team members on both progress and roadblocks. Responsibilities: • Develop front and backend solutions primarily using Microsoft .NET technologies in cloud/hybrid environments • Provide guidance to onshore and offshore developers in implementing user stories, features, and big fixes • Merge and deploy releases to development and production environments • Increase code coverage of automated test • Estimate and define tasks for sprints • Regularly review logs for errors and implement fixes for them • Document process and workflows • Fine-tuning front and backend site architecture to optimize site performance • Work with infrastructure team to ensure that the environments are optimized • Monitor site for uptime and help resolve issues • Other duties as directed by management • Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems. • Exhibits and adheres to the established Visual Comfort Company Values. • Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule. Qualifications: • B.S. in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent work experience • 5+ years of experience architecting, developing, and supporting both front-end, device-reactive and back-end web systems in a mid-size or larger company • 3+ years of experience developing high-traffic, high-availability applications using Azure Web App Service or equivalent Cloud environment • 3+ years of experience programming SQL statements and designing MS SQL Server or Azure SQL data models • 3+ years of experience being responsible for the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) • Experience implementing and consuming RESTful APIs, serverless functions, and other services. Microservice-based architecture experience preferred. • Microsoft certifications for .NET development and Azure cloud development preferred • Proficiency in the following languages, frameworks and tools: C#, SQL Server, CSS and CSS pre-processors like SASS, HTML5, JavaScript ES2020 with Preact, React, Node 14.x+/npm/npx • Experience with Github and Azure DevOps preferred. • Experience with Automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and other DevOps best practices • Knowledge of security best practices in web development • Experience with performance optimization techniques • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities • Must demonstrate maturity in judgement, commitment, dependability, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule as determined by manager • Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation • Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone • Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, late evenings. • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for this role We Provide: • Competitive compensation plan • Competitive Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits • Company provided Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability • 401(k) Employer Match • Generous Vacation and Paid Time Off Programs • Closed on all major holidays • Team Member discounts on Visual Comfort Products Compensation Range: $80,000 - $90,000 Qualified applicants are considered for employment, and employees are treated during employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, gender identity, or expression, genetic information, or any other legally protected status.
