OVERVIEW We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Team Manager to lead our Data Team within the Product Management department. The Data Team is responsible for managing vehicle fitment data for parts and accessories, as well as product data in our ERP system and enriching data in our CMS system. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a strong background in data management, governance, and technology, capable of setting data governance rules, implementing efficient processes, and leveraging technology to optimize data management. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES DATA GOVERNANCE • Establish and communicate clear data governance rules and standards for the entire organization related tovehicle fitment and product data. • Define data quality criteria, data integrity guidelines, and data validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of the data. • Work closely with stakeholders across departments to gain alignment on data governance practices and enforce compliance. PROCESS OPTIMIZATION • Develop and implement efficient data management processes, including data acquisition, validation, enrichment, transformation, and dissemination. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data across various systems and platforms. • Continuously review and improve data management processes to increase productivity and data quality. PRODUCT DATA ANALASYS • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and consolidate product-related data from various sources, including sales figures, customer feedback, website analytics, and operational data. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness. • Utilize statistical analysis techniques and data visualization tools to identify patterns, trends, and correlations within product data. Conduct in-depth exploratory analysis to discover actionable insights. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product performance, customer satisfaction, and market trends. Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Use this information to provide recommendations for product enhancements and new product development opportunities. • Provide data-driven recommendations and insights to support product development, pricing, and marketing strategies. • Create visually compelling and easy-to-understand data visualizations and presentations to effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. • Establish and maintain data quality standards and governance procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistency • Continuously improve data analysis processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness DATA MANAGEMENT • Maintain and update web content, images, files etc. for multiple websites on a Content Management System • Perform meticulous editing and fact-checking for all content • Perform content quality assurance and correct errors in collaboration with the appropriate team • Ensure proper vehicle fitment standardization between print and web content • Manage own workflow while coordinating with project teams and managers on schedules, requirements, goals and assignments • Monitor item data to ensure that product information and photos are accurate, content is current and free of errors • Any other additional duties as required TECHNOLOGY IMPLEMENTATION AND OVERSITE • Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate data management technologies and tools • Oversee the configuration and maintenance of data management systems, ensuring they meet the team's needs and comply with data governance policies. • Stay up-to-date with the latest data management technologies and industry trends, recommending enhancements to support the team's objectives. TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT • Provide strong leadership to the Data Team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. • Set clear performance expectations, monitor progress, and conduct regular performance evaluations for team members. • Identify training and development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and capabilities. STAKEHOLDER COLABORATION • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and other relevant teams to understand data requirements and support their data-driven initiatives. • Act as a data expert and advisor to other departments, offering insights and recommendations based on data analysis and trends. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field or equivalent experience. Advanced degrees or certifications in data analytics or business intelligence are a plus. • Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization. Strong command of data analytics tools such as Python, R, SQL, Excel, Tableau, or similar. • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Advanced MS Excel, PowerBI skills are REQUIRED • Familiarity with database management and data warehousing concepts. • Powersports industry experience is highly desirable • Able to coordinate multiple assignments at one time including collaborating with Product Managers and Catalog Department personnel in the execution of tasks • Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure • Must be a self-guided individual, able to work with minimal supervision • Highly detail-oriented with a keen eye for data accuracy and quality. • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for product improvements and business decisions. • Understanding of product development processes, customer behavior, and market dynamics. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically throughout the day. WORKING CONDITIONS Regularly heated and air-conditioned workspace, occasionally performing job duties in unconditioned spaces.
