As an SQL Server database administrator, you design, configure, administer and update SQL Server databases and data structures on premise and on the cloud. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization's objectives and priorities. You ensure the optimal use, security, integrity and maintenance of Desjardins Group's databases. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your line of work . More specifically, you will be required to: • Deploy, configure and support SQL Server database services in IaaS and PaaS modes for the environments and applications concerned, ensuring their integrity, security and performance • Conceptualize, implement and update database structures • Advise parties on database management, use and access • Help develop automation solutions for the ongoing configuration, installation, maintenance, delivery and rollout of SQL Server and Azure SQL services • Draft and update system and database documentation What we offer* • Competitive salary and annual bonus • 4 weeks of flexible vacation starting in the first year • Defined benefit pension plan that provides predictable, stable income throughout retirement • Group insurance including telemedicine • Reimbursement of health and wellness expenses and telework equipment • Benefits apply based on eligibility criteria. What you bring to the table • Bachelor's degree in a related field • A minimum of four years of relevant experience • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered • Experience with projects and production support in large organizations • Knowledge of French is required • Significant knowledge of Azure SQL, SQL Server 2012 to 2022, AlwaysOn, T-SQL, PowerShell, Windows Server • Strong knowledge of VMware and Azure environments • Knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub, Ansible, Flyway • Available 24/7 as an on-call advisor with pay Business insight, Communicates effectively, Complexity, Interpersonal Savvy #LI-Hybrid Trade Union Non-unionized At Desjardins, we believe in equity, diversity and inclusion.
