Description GovCIO is currently hiring for a Java Developer to support the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) in upgrading and transitioning our application infrastructure to the Azure Cloud. This includes implementing critical system upgrades such as FileNet and integrating new document management technologies like IBM DataCap. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development, FileNet, Agile, and DevOps methodologies, along with specific skills in Oracle 19c DB and WebLogic 14c R2. Skills • Proficiency in Java development, specifically J2EE, Spring, and Hibernate. • Experience with Oracle 19c DB and WebLogic 14c R2. • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. • Familiarity with FileNet Content Manager and IBM DataCap. • Ability to implement and maintain DevOps processes and tools. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services integral to our FileNet and IPS Suite environments. • Upgrade and migrate legacy systems to Azure Cloud, ensuring compatibility and scalability. • Collaborate with teams to re-engineer applications for Oracle 19c DB and WebLogic 14c R2 in Azure. • Support the entire software development lifecycle, upholding high quality standards. • Develop and sustain DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment. • Provide technical support and resolve production issues related to Java applications. • Participate in Agile project management activities, including sprint planning and retrospectives. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 12+ years of experience. • Professional experience in Java development with expertise in J2EE. • Experience with Application Development Framework (ADF). • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and tools. • Clearance Required: Public Trust.
