Position: Enterprise Architect - DevOps with Security Clearance Enterprise Architect - Dev Ops Washington, DC (5 days a week on-site) Public Trust Key Responsibilities: • Define and implement the Dev Ops architecture and strategy to align with business objectives, improving software delivery speed, quality, and scalability. • Design scalable, resilient, and secure systems that leverage continuous integration (CI), continuous deployment (CD), and automated testing frameworks. • Create and maintain architecture blueprints that incorporate Dev Ops best practices and automation tools for both development and operational workflows. • Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle (SDLC). • Integrate tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Circle CI, Azure Dev Ops, or others for automated build, test, and deployment processes. • Ensure seamless deployment workflows across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments, including staging and production. • Promote and drive the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. • Develop automated processes for managing cloud resources, including configuration management, server provisioning, and network setup. • Implement and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack. • Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of Dev Ops environments by continuously assessing and optimizing both infrastructure and deployment pipelines. • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for Dev Ops processes and lead the continuous improvement of operational efficiency. • Architect cloud-based and hybrid solutions to support agile development and continuous delivery with platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. • Provide guidance on selecting and integrating cloud-native services for containerization, microservices, and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker). • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Dev Ops processes, pipelines, and automation scripts. Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. • 7+ years of experience in IT architecture or engineering, with at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Dev Ops practices and tools. • Strong understanding of Dev Ops principles, including automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure management. • Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab, Azure Dev Ops, or similar. • Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and implementing Dev Ops solutions in cloud-native environments. • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or the ELK Stack. • Strong knowledge of scripting and programming languages like Python, Bash, Ruby, or Go. • Understanding of security principles and best practices in Dev Ops (e.g., Dev Sec Ops ). • Proven ability to lead teams in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and mentor junior engineers. • Ability to address complex system integration challenges and find innovative solutions. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Desirable Skills: • Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing. • Knowledge of cloud-native application design and deployment. • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies. • Exposure to AI/ML integration within Dev Ops pipelines. • Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert are preferred.
