Senior IT Systems Engineer Hybrid Remote - Microsoft Server | Azure | M365 - Houston, TX 77073 - Indeed.com Key Responsibilities • Design, deploy, and maintain client IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud services). • Manage and administer Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V). • Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, including device compliance, application deployment, and security policies. • Administer and optimize Azure environments, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity management. • Implement cybersecurity measures and monitor system performance. • Troubleshoot complex issues and provide Tier 2/3 support. • Manage personal ticket queue, resolving client issues efficiently and documenting outcomes. • Assign tickets to junior IT staff based on skill level and workload, ensuring timely resolution and quality service. • Mentor and oversee 1-5 junior IT staff, providing guidance and reviewing their work. • Communicate with clients remotely and onsite to resolve issues, assess needs, and recommend solutions. • Report to and work directly with senior management to align technical strategies with business goals and provide updates on project progress and client satisfaction. • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies. Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, preferably in an MSP. • Expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, virtualization, and PowerShell scripting. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and cybersecurity tools. • Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff. • Certifications preferred.
