Our client, a leading financial services firm located in Des Moines, Iowa, US , is offering a highly sought-after Junior Data Analyst Apprenticeship position. This program is designed for motivated individuals eager to launch a career in data analytics within a supportive and growth-oriented environment. As an apprentice, you will receive comprehensive training and hands-on experience in data collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting. You will work alongside experienced data professionals, learning to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets that inform business decisions. This is an on-site position providing direct mentorship and practical application of learned skills. Responsibilities: Assist in collecting and organizing data from various sources. Perform data cleaning and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support senior analysts in conducting data analysis using statistical methods. Help in generating reports and visualizations to present findings. Learn and apply SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Contribute to the development of dashboards and business intelligence tools. Understand and adhere to data governance and security policies. Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions. Develop proficiency in data analysis software and tools. Identify data inconsistencies and collaborate on resolutions. Assist in documenting data processes and methodologies. Gain practical experience in the full data lifecycle. Support ad-hoc data requests from various departments. Learn about different business functions and how data supports them. Proactively seek opportunities to learn and develop new skills. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics) is a strong plus. Demonstrated interest in data analysis and a foundational understanding of statistical concepts. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
