WMVision is seeking a talented and motivated individual to become an integral part of our IT team in our Overland Park, Kansas office. As part of the internal IT support team this role provides technical support to 25+ talented employees across varied functional roles and levels (sales, marketing, operations, product support team, etc.). This role supports desktop hardware, server hardware, cloud infrastructure, operating systems, server applications, AD/domain management, sales software and tools, office productivity software, security devices/software, printers, and mobile devices. Additionally, as part of our Tier 3 product support team this role will support and be actively engaged in the development of our company’s technology solutions and products including both hardware and software. Our solutions focus on software, developed in-house, that integrates hardware devices and sensors to deliver rich media and data content to our clients via our cloud based platforms. Our IT team is streamlined allowing for opportunities to cross into multiple facets of IT, requiring a person that can span a wide breadth of IT knowledge. Travel outside the Kansas City metropolitan area is not required. Primary Responsibilities: • Daily monitoring and support of IT infrastructure including, but not limited to, general server support, administration, and management for Microsoft Active Directory environment, as well as a wide range of products including cloud Infrastructure, databases, firewalls, cybersecurity platforms, virtual machines, and VoIP. • Maintenance & administration of systems and networks at our office, co-lo sites, and hosted on the AWS cloud IaaS platform in accordance with company best practices and industry standards. • Answer, evaluate and prioritize IT service requests received from internal users. Ensure timely resolution of user issues by assigning appropriate priority and resolution goals. Response methods will vary between telephone, in-person and use of remote access tools. • Analyze and correct issues using documented procedures and available tools as well as personal knowledge, skills and recommended solutions. • Troubleshoot, identify and resolve issues on Windows, MacOS (limited), Linux, iOS, and Android platforms. • Resolve printing and network connectivity issues • Contact software and hardware vendors (via voice or online systems) to research issues and determine and implement recommended solutions • Test and deploy new software, procedures, installations, migrations and upgrade activities • Brainstorm with team members to resolve more complex issues and assist the VP of Technology with implementing the company technology roadmap. • Protects organization’s value and integrity by keeping ALL company and personnel information strictly confidential. Other Responsibilities: · Participate in creation and maintenance of IT standards and procedures · Investigate solutions by being resourceful and proactive · Travel to data-center / co-lo facility as needed (KC Metro Area) Requirements & Qualifications: · 1 - 3 years of experience in IT Systems Administration · 2 - 3 years of experience in the Product Support - supporting technology products and solutions · Experience in end-user support, help desk ticketing software, hardware/software upgrades and troubleshooting · Experience supporting and troubleshooting the following technology: o Microsoft Office o Windows 11 / 10 OS o Windows Server OS o Networking connectivity and configuration o Router / Firewall / Security Appliance configuration o Printers, Scanners and other peripherals · Experience troubleshooting remote issues and supporting offsite users · Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals · Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, multi-tasking, analytical, patient, flexible and a strong sense of accountability · Must be willing to field calls and resolve issues outside normal work hours should they occur, although this is rare. · Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously · Balance of creative and analytical skills; strong problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: · Cybersecurity Management Tools / Platforms · VOIP/PBX systems - configuration, setup and general administration.
