What’s yours?Position Overview Responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational goals and objectives. What you'll do An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all the following essential functions. Provides excellent support for local and remote users, including white glove service for company executives. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all systems and conference room hardware. Configures and installs operating systems consistent with Hunter Douglas standards to provide a secure computing environment. Ensure that utilities designed to automate and maintain computer systems are operational. Manages and maintains end-user access to systems, services, servers, devices, and desktop/laptop computers in a prompt and effective manner. Works closely with the Operations and Systems groups to escalate and troubleshoot if needed. Understands advanced network topology to be able expand the wired and wireless infrastructure. Evaluate and coordinate cabling vendors. Manage service requests submitted by the users in a prompt and effective manner. Monitor and prioritize requests that may include ticket re-assignment. Work with all IT groups to improve and enhance customer support including Operations and the Helpdesk. Propagate Hunter Douglas infrastructure standards to other Hunter Douglas locations by working with remote system administrators. Share and help all locations meet a common computing environment. Effectively and routinely follows up on tasks, open issues, and requests. Can establish priorities and course of action for managing multiple tasks and acts based upon personal conviction and intuition. Establishes course of action, allocates resources, uses time efficiently, and is personally well organized. Who you are Hold an Associate’s degree in a computer-related field or possess 1–3 years of equivalent professional experience. Have at least 1 year of experience in PC administration or a similar technical role. Bring 1 year of experience working in an IT customer support environment, demonstrating strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Possess relevant technology certifications, including but not limited to: CompTIA A+ (PC and Networking) Microsoft OS Certification Security+ or equivalent Networking Certification Vendor-specific certifications Solid knowledge of: Microsoft Windows personal computing operating systems Troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving Business productivity platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office) Installation and maintenance of network cabling Hardware and software installations Network file systems Apple iOS environment Microsoft M365 support and management Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Basic knowledge of: Incident Management practices (ITIL framework) Conference room systems and AV equipment Network concepts and infrastructure Demonstrated abilities: Assigning appropriate priorities to work assignments Being a collaborative team player with strong communication skills Applying IT change, release, problem, incident, and continuity management processes Critical thinking, multitasking, and maintaining composure under pressure Explaining technical systems in both technical and layman terms Taking initiative to stay updated on operational procedures Following written procedures independently Coordinating across departments to meet timelines Organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks effectively Maintaining accuracy and precision across varied tasks Performing hardware and software installations Responding quickly and accurately under stress Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues Providing prompt and accurate support to IT Help Desk requests.
