Job Summary: We are a leader in software and technical documentation services for global brands in various industries, is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer with a passion for solving real-world engineering challenges. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust systems and infrastructure solutions while ensuring excellent developer experiences and robust production infrastructure. We rely on engineers to help us solve complex problems, consider various constraints, and think through the tradeoffs. Duties/Responsibilities: • Develop and implement DevOps best practices, including infrastructure as code, GitOps, continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment. • Collaborate on the design and implementation of DevOps infrastructure on platforms like AWS EKS, Azure, and Kubernetes. • Collaborate with development teams for seamless integration of new features into our environment. • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, leading incident response as needed. • Improve scalability, security, and reliability of our infrastructure. • Mentor and train junior engineers and educate developers in DevOps practices. • Work autonomously and help set professional standards for the team. Basic Qualifications: • 5-7 years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, or systems administration. • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Desired Skills and Abilities: • Extensive experience AWS Infrastructure, including VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, OpenSearch, and/or related experience with other cloud providers. • Extensive experience in container-based environments using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, including how to securely build for and deploy in these environments. • Extensive experience with IaC and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, AWS CDK or similar tools. • Strong knowledge in CI/CD - Jenkins, Travis, CircleCI, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, as well as how to deploy into container environments such as ECS and Kubernetes. • Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell. • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Rapid7, New Relic, and PagerDuty. • Ability to manage production incidents in a timely, disciplined, and cooperative manner, to bring about resolutions in a timely and efficient manner. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team and cross-train others. • AWS or Azure certifications preferred. • Passion for clean, automated, and robust infrastructure. • Agile methodology experience. • Capable of working completely autonomously • Helps set and maintain professional standards for the team • Deep, substantial expertise in multiple deployment environments • Invents new concepts and pushes the whole team forward regularly • Ability to execute projects across multiple domains and environments, inventing new concepts to advance the team. Physical Requirements • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
