Job Overview The Cybersecurity DevOps Engineer will help ensure that T-Mobile's software and infrastructure are deployed and managed with the highest level of security, automation, and scalability. This role is centered around delivering secure enterprise software deployments in hyperscaler cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), with a strong emphasis on data architecture and encryption integration. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining secure DevOps pipelines, integrating data protection services into a wide range of enterprise systems, and supporting scalable deployments of critical cybersecurity programs. A key focus will be on deploying a data encryption solution using Thales and Garantir products across diverse database platforms and application environments. Job Responsibilities • Leads design, implementation, and automation of secure CI/CD pipelines to support enterprise software delivery in cloud environments. • Works closely with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to deploy encryption programs across multi-cloud and hybrid architectures. • Integrates Thales and Garantir encryption tools into enterprise databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). • Collaborates with data architects to ensure secure and efficient encryption of data in motion and at rest. • Applies infrastructure-as-code principles to maintain scalable and compliant deployment environments. • Works with application teams, data engineering, and compliance partners to align deployments with corporate security and audit requirements. • Assists with threat modeling and risk assessments as they relate to DevOps and encryption systems. • Contributes to system documentation, automation playbooks, and operational runbooks. • Mentors junior engineers in secure DevOps practices and toolchains. Education and Work Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent work experience. • 4-7 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or cybersecurity engineering. • 2-4 years of hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD tooling. • Experience with infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation). • Familiarity with enterprise data encryption products such as Thales CipherTrust, Garantir, or Vormetric. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes). • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). • Understanding of data encryption standards and key management protocols (e.g., KMIP, HSMs). • Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps principles. • Ability to manage complex system integrations and solve issues across infrastructure and application layers. • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. • At least 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the United States Travel: Travel Required (Yes/No):Yes DOT Regulated: DOT Regulated Position (Yes/No):No Safety Sensitive Position (Yes/No):No Base Pay Range: $103,400 - $186,400 Corporate Bonus Target: 15% The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role.
