This role will focus on securing and hardening network devices within our manufacturing plants, leveraging advanced tools and cutting-edge security technologies. The ideal candidate will serve as our internal expert, collaborating closely with the networking team to implement robust security measures that minimize impact on production while effectively lowering overall risk. Key Responsibilities Security Design and Implementation: • Develop and implement comprehensive security architectures for network devices in manufacturing environments, ensuring alignment with operational technology (OT) requirements and industry standards. • Conduct thorough security assessments and penetration testing of network devices to identify vulnerabilities and recommend effective remediation strategies. Device Hardening: • Determine optimal strategies for securing network devices that maintain production continuity, focusing on risk mitigation without compromising operational efficiency. • Implement advanced hardening techniques, including micro-segmentation, zero-trust architectures, and secure access service edge (SASE) principles to enhance the security posture of OT environments. Collaboration and Communication: • Collaborate with the networking team and other cross-functional teams to integrate security measures seamlessly into existing infrastructure, ensuring a holistic approach to cybersecurity. • Communicate complex security concepts and strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering a culture of security awareness. Monitoring and Incident Response: • Utilize security tools to monitor network traffic and security events related to network devices, responding to incidents and mitigating risks proactively. • Develop and maintain incident response plans tailored to security incidents, ensuring rapid and effective responses to potential threats. Continuous Improvement: • Stay abreast of the latest security technologies, threat landscapes, and industry trends, contributing to the continuous enhancement of security practices within the OT environment. • Participate in training and development initiatives to elevate team knowledge and skills in advanced security and OT cybersecurity best practices. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. • Extensive experience in securing and hardening network devices in industrial or manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on OT cybersecurity. • In-depth knowledge of modern security technologies and advanced threat detection and response solutions. • Relevant certifications are highly desirable. • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning and adaptation.
