Database Admin – DevOps Engineer (SQL Focus) • Contract – 1 Year • Hybrid – Franklin, WI (3 days onsite) • $60–$65/hr W2 • Start ASAP – runs through July 2026 What You’ll Do: • Support and engineer SQL Server databases through all phases of the software lifecycle • Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases for performance, security, and availability (including high availability and disaster recovery) • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, GitLab CI/CD, Python, and other tools • Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions aligned with standards and compliance • Troubleshoot complex system issues and drive improvements • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate technical solutions clearly • Mentor teammates and help deliver on automation and security goals Must-Have Skills: • 5+ years working with databases (on-prem and cloud-managed) • Strong SQL skills: queries, joins, indexes, simple data modeling • Hands-on scripting (PowerShell or Python) • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab) and orchestration (Ansible) Nice-to-Have Skills: • PowerBI and Gateway administration • High Availability: Database Mirroring, Replication, AOAG • Secrets management tools: HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk • Cloud: AWS RDS, Azure SQL • Monitoring tools: ELK Stack, Dynatrace, SolarWinds DPA • Experience with Agile and Jira
