Job Title: Lead Cloud Platform Architect About the Role: We invite a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Cloud Architect to become a part of our Enterprise Cloud Platform Technologies Services team. In this position, you'll drive our cloud strategies, enhancing trust, agility, and cloud adoption throughout McKesson. You will ensure our cloud infrastructure meets top standards of performance, security, scalability, and reliability. Collaboration will be crucial as you work alongside other architects, developers, and engineers to provide innovative, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions. This role will involve working closely with Solution Architects to develop features and functionalities within our scalable cloud environment. What You’ll Do: • Interpret business and technical needs to design suitable cloud solutions. • Develop overarching architecture and system designs for cloud-focused applications and services. • Offer guidance on best practices related to cloud architecture, security, performance, scalability, and reliability. • Engage with different stakeholders, such as architects, developers, operations teams, and business leaders, to ensure strategic alignment. • Perform technical assessments and optimization reviews for cloud implementations. • Create detailed documentation for cloud architectures and design choices. • Keep abreast of the latest cloud trends and technologies, recommending enhancements and innovations as applicable. What We’re Looking For: Minimum Requirements: • Degree or equivalent experience, typically with 10+ years in a professional or technical capacity. Skills/Experience: • Experience: • Over 10 years in Cloud Architecture or related fields. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline or equivalent experience. • Technical Expertise: • Proficient in cloud architecture design and deployment, particularly with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments. • Familiar with cloud design patterns and best practices, focusing on security, governance, high availability, and disaster recovery. • Experienced with microservices-based or other cloud-native architectures. • Knowledgeable in Azure landing zone architectures, cloud networking, security protocols, IAM, delivery pipelines, and observability. • Experienced in Azure Kubernetes (AKS) and container technology. • Familiar with DevOps and Agile methodologies. • Skilled in cloud automation, configuration management, and enterprise-scale infrastructure deployment as code (IaC) using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Python. Physical Requirements: General office duties. Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. now or in the future, without assistance from McKesson. Compensation is based on numerous factors, including performance, skills, and market evaluations. The salary range below aligns with our pay philosophy and regulatory requirements.
