Overview GovCIO is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud developer proficient in Python and PySpark to join our team. This role will focus on developing, testing, and implementing Azure Notebooks and ETL processes using PySpark and Python, with a strong background in Synapse databases and SQL. This position is primarily remote, with occasional onsite requirements in Fort Lee, VA. Responsibilities As an Azure Data Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing high-quality solutions. Your expertise in Notebook, PySpark/Python ETL, and Synapse database will be critical as you contribute to enterprise data warehouse projects. Qualifications To be considered, you should have a Bachelor's degree along with at least 8 years of relevant experience. Required Skills and Experience • The ability to obtain and maintain clearance up to Top Secret is necessary. • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the role. • 5+ years of experience in Notebook, PySpark/Python development, and working in Azure Synapse environments is essential. • A strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and business intelligence is needed. • Excellent skills in requirement gathering, data analysis, and customer interaction are important. • Active Security+ certification or one obtained before the start date is required. Preferred Skills and Experience • Secret clearance is preferred. • Familiarity with Informatica and Teradata is advantageous. • Understanding of BI reporting tools such as PowerBI, Business Objects, and Tableau is a plus.
