Information Security Specialist needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work hybrid (one day a week on-site) in Washington, DC. • Public Trust is required prior to starting* Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles. • Strong understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure,). • Hands-on experience with tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, Nessus Security Center, BigFix, Wireshark, etc. • Knowledge of incident response processes and procedures • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, HIPAA). • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
