Overview The PKI KeyFactor Engineer will lead the implementation and management of a KeyFactor-based Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solution, critical to the company’s security and compliance strategy. This role combines architectural design with hands-on engineering to support internal certificate authorities, external certificate lifecycle management, and code-signing processes. The position is essential for a global, acquisition-heavy organization aiming to standardize PKI practices across diverse business units. This position can be entirely virtual/remote/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US. How You'll Make An Impact • Implement a KeyFactor PKI solution, focusing on internal certificate authorities, external certificate lifecycle management (LCM), and self-signed code processes. • Develop and manage PKI strategies to ensure secure certificate issuance, renewal, and revocation across global operations. • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to align PKI practices with ISO 27001 certification goals and GRC requirements. • Provide hands-on engineering support for KeyFactor tool configuration, integration, and troubleshooting. • Support M&A activities by integrating acquired entities into the KeyFactor PKI framework. • Document and optimize PKI processes to enhance operational efficiency and audit readiness. • Work with development teams to ensure secure code-signing practices meet organizational standards About You • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • 5+ years of experience in PKI architecture and engineering, with a focus on enterprise environments. • Deep expertise in KeyFactor, including internal CA management, external LCM, and code-signing capabilities. • Strong understanding of PKI fundamentals, including certificate authorities, digital signatures, and encryption protocols. • Experience integrating PKI solutions with operational systems and compliance frameworks. • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical execution. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with global, distributed teams. Preferred Qualifications • Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or KeyFactor-specific training. • Experience supporting ISO 27001 certification processes or GRC initiatives. • Familiarity with cloud security and M&A integration for PKI standardization. • Knowledge of additional PKI tools (e.g., Microsoft CA, Venafi) for comparative expertise.
