What You'll do CompuNet is seeking a Business Development Specialist - Microsoft to join our team. This position is global technical sales role which will report to the Managing Lead, Business Development Specialist, Microsoft. This is a salaried position that is eligible for commissions, profit share and benefits. This role can be based out of any existing CompuNet location. The Business Development Specialist - Microsoft (BDS-ML-MSFT) requires industry specific knowledge related to Microsoft services, products, and licensing. As industry focus has shifted to consumption-based services and subscription services, it is apparent that a good understanding of these sales motions is required to be effective in this ever-changing market. This role would need to be proficient in the Microsoft Portfolio and able to set the stage for selling services in partnership with the Microsoft offering. Understanding this offering will be key and will provide focus on growth through identifying pipeline, advising customers, and driving outcomes with CompuNet Sales, Engineering as well as Microsoft teams. This role is designed to focus on driving the following: • Building, enhancing, the Microsoft overlay team that provides expertise, enablement, and support to the CompuNet Sales and Engineering teams. • Prospecting and driving existing campaigns to close • Sales and Engineering enablement and alignment • Field alignment - CompuNet and Microsoft • Opportunity qualification saving engineering resources time • Microsoft strategy and program expertise • Recurring Revenue (Consumption-Azure; Subscription; Modern Workplace) • Microsoft centric and CompuNet Professional Services • Customer satisfaction - Internal and external The Business Development Specialist - Microsoft role requires an extensive knowledge of the Microsoft and CompuNet sales methodology, and ability to develop relationships both in person and virtually. Specifically, the Business Development Specialist - Microsoft must be proficient in Licensing and Programs, Sales Enablement/Support, and extensive technical selling skills. This role requires current understanding on how to position both Azure and Microsoft Apps for Enterprise (M365) as well as the associated ecosystem of complimentary products appropriate to CompuNet customers. Also, important will be to create relationships, joint strategy and accountability with the leadership and contributors in assigned regions of CompuNet. This role also requires: • Account Mapping with CompuNet and Microsoft Field Teams • Partner Center process and entry ownership • Prospecting in new accounts / regions • Working with existing Account Executives on sales campaigns • Qualification of opportunities and resources • Working closely with Partnership Enablement and Programs teams for Sales Enablement and program maximization Value: • Technical Sales focused on growing Microsoft and Service Revenue • Investment to accelerate growth, customer satisfaction and to differentiate CompuNet • Dedicated Field Sales alignment for Microsoft Field Sales for CompuNet • Reduction of valuable engineering time/resources in early sales discovery process - enables Architect / Engineering Scale through qualification process • Will work on stated strategies specific to Microsoft to drive sales outcomes in CompuNet's underpenetrated existing customer base (1200~ existing customers) • Target 'whitespace' in 1. existing geographies and 2. nationwide Minimum Requirements: • 2+ years' prior work experience with Microsoft services, products, and licensing including: • Proficiency in Licensing and Programs, Sales Enablement/Support, and extensive technical consulting skills • Current understanding of Azure, Modern Work, Business Applications, and on-prem solutions, as well as the associated ecosystem of complimentary products • Industry knowledge of consumption-based and subscription services • Prior work experience in technical sales and consulting • Ability to develop relationships both in person and virtually Who we are CompuNet, Inc. is an engineering-led IT solution provider that offers consulting, design, and professional services.
