Job Type: Contract Job Category: IT Job Title: Automation Architect Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite) Experience: 14+ Years Type: Contract / Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Automation Architect with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and leading automation frameworks and strategies for enterprise-scale environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation, DevOps, CI/CD, cloud environments, and modern test tools, ensuring seamless integration, performance, and scalability across complex ecosystems. Key Responsibilities: Define, design, and implement automation architecture and frameworks across applications, platforms, and enterprise systems. Drive automation strategy, roadmap, and governance to ensure scalability and reusability. Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines. Evaluate, select, and implement automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Tosca, etc.) as per business needs. Ensure automation covers functional, regression, integration, API, performance, and security testing. Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and establish best practices for automation. Partner with stakeholders to align automation initiatives with enterprise goals. Troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize frameworks, and ensure quality delivery. Required Skills & Qualifications: 14+ years of overall IT experience with at least 6+ years in test automation architecture. Strong expertise in Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Tosca, Appium or equivalent tools. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.). Strong knowledge of programming/scripting (Java, Python, C#, JavaScript). Solid understanding of API automation (Postman, RestAssured, Karate). Experience in cloud-native test environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing automation. Strong background in Agile/DevOps practices. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AI/ML-driven automation frameworks. Exposure to RPA (UiPath, Automation Anywhere). Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for test environments. Prior experience in large-scale digital transformation programs. Required Skills PERFORMANCE ARCHITECT
