A Brief Overview The Sr. Windows Server Engineer will be responsible for the design, and implementation of Windows Server Technologies. This will include system administration, operational support, problem resolution, hardware and software support within installations and upgrades. Take a lead role in implementation and design, mentoring junior team members, and quickly learning new technologies required for accomplishing project goals. This role is eligible to participate in Zenith’s hybrid work schedule which provides the flexibility to work from home on select days of the week according to the in-office schedule established by regional executive leadership. Selected candidate must be able to report into a California Zenith office on a weekly basis. What you will do • Work with a team of engineers to support and optimize and ensure stability of physical and virtual Windows server environment, as well as Azure cloud hosted services. • Support, design and implement hybrid cloud technologies, O365, Azure AD, Intune and MDM policies. • Install, configure, troubleshoot vSphere 6.0 to 7.0 and HyperV. • Support and design of Active Directory infrastructure, DNS, File/Print Services, ADFS, Core back office systems. • Configure, install and support back office systems such as Sharepoint, IIS and MSQL. • Support and maintain VDI environment. • Leverage Powershell as well as other scripting tools to automate support tasks. • Actively monitor and manage Windows servers utilizing virtual tools such as vSphere and Microsoft VMM. • Ensure security policies and procedures are adhered to. • Build partnerships and works closely with other teams. • Work under general direction of senior management. • Make system recommendations and actively seeks opportunity for system enhancement. • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. • Work productively and harmoniously with others on a consistent basis. • Respond positively to direction and feedback on performance. • Consistently maintain professional and appropriate demeanor. • Perform other duties as assigned. Education Qualifications • High School Diploma Or equivalent combination of training/experience required • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training/experience required Experience Qualifications • 7+ Years Experience with: Microsoft Windows Server OS (2012 R2/2016/2019/2022 Installation/Configuration/ Advanced Troubleshooting Microsoft Active Directory (Trusts, Group Policy, DNS, Replication, Login Scripts, etc.) • Scripting tools such as Powershell Internet Information Server (IIS), System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), SQL Server, WSUS Microsoft 365 Setup, Migration and Troubleshooting VMware 6.0 to 7.0, Hyper-V Administration Managing Azure hosted services such as Azure AD, Intune Microsoft 365 Setup, Migration and Troubleshooting – Advanced Administration required The expected salary range for this position is $136,038.77- $170,568.49. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.
