Job Description: As a Solutions Architect, you will create overall application and solution architectures, including component designs and systems integration for specific business solutions. You will lead efforts in defining, documenting, and estimating requirements for enterprise applications while collaborating with IT staff to assess business needs and translate them into automated solutions. Your role will involve producing relevant design artifacts, coordinating new system development to ensure consistency with existing applications, analyzing feasibility and compatibility with hardware, and consulting with clients to prototype and architect applications that meet their needs. Key Responsibilities: • Create overall application and solution architectures, component designs, and systems integration and implementations for a particular business solution. • Lead efforts in defining, documenting, and estimating requirements for enterprise applications. • Capture requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, and operating system environments, on-prem, hybrid, and cloud topologies. • Collaborate with other IT staff to assess business needs and translate them into automated solutions. • Produce relevant solution design artifacts including technical estimates, conceptual, logical, and physical system designs, sequence diagrams, and data models. • Coordinate new system development to ensure consistency with existing application systems and COTS solutions. • Analyze and estimate feasibility and compatibility with hardware and other programs; consult with clients to prototype and design applications to meet their needs. • Collaborate with business areas and cross-functional Enterprise Architects to understand business needs and provide strategic consultation. • Partner with architects and technical team members to develop roadmaps and strategies to support agency KPIs. • Design and implement Enterprise Security/technology patterns. Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies: • Experience with SAFe architecture and proven work experience with Agile/Scrum teams. • Proven experience in developing enterprise and solution-level architectural designs. • Proven experience in linking cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems. • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping. • Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques. • Good project management skills and exposure to project-based work structures. • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices. • Competency with XML constructs and schemas. • Confidence and experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST. • Strong understanding of end-user needs and requirements. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. • Experience in enterprise-level application design and integration. • Experience in cloud applications (Azure preferred) and SaaS architecture. • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, and Esri ArcGIS.
